Is WordPress.com getting overloaded because its sooo sloow

Dunno whether wordpress.com free blogs is getting super busy lately, or they are lacking in bandwidth or what, but from Australia it is the slooowest thing to access since the 300 baud accoustic modem coupler!

Getting that bad lately that it takes forever just to load a page, so I am gunna start looking elsewhere for some better Australian web hosting me thinks. That bloody link there took exactly 1 min and 12 seconds for the add url box to completely popup and load.

Crikey boss thats getting to be a real pain in the proverbial now. Just got the hang of this bloggin bullshit, and now I finds that its upto shit and I gotta setup all over again. Ah well, I’m gunna stay with this wordpress program as it amuses the shit outta me how every curry-munching man and his dog want to post a worthless comment with a link to a new site that needs exposure. Fucking dickheads.

Anyway, get a chook upya and bugger orf.

Web Hosts are dickheads too

It’s amazing how any man and his dog can open a $20 buck a month reseller hosting account, whack up a flash website, open a PayPal account, and suddenly be in business as a web hosting service.

Web hosting needs regulating! In Australia, hosts do exactly the same, open a reseller account, and start advertising hosting packages to fools. They piss around with keywords, open a Google Adsense account, run some banners and viola, the money starts to dribble in. That is until something goes wrong with the parent hosts server and the network breaks, and people start demanding refunds!

That is why I now only trust reputable web hosts like auStores eCommerce and Hosting with my web sites. At least they put their mouth where their money is (sic) and if something goes wrong they immediately jump on the wagon, notify everyone, and fix the problem. There is none of this 3 day support ticket bullshit, I think the longest I have ever waited on a ticket was 25 mins for a reply, and the reply was only to confirm the problem had been fixed! Yep no crap, and no bullshit.

The only other mob I can vouch for is AusQ Networks who seem to specialize in websites for the country folk. They are one of the most reliable of web hosting services that look after the rural sector of the community. Me mate is hosted with them, and he likes the hands on, no bullshit approach they offer.

So next time you are googling for a web host, be warned that a lot of the hits you’ll get are nothing more than dickheads offering bullshit with a 1300 Dial-a-Dickhead number to some schoolboys mobile phone. If you need support and you are really lucky and call during school hours, you might just be answered by the dickheads teacher who would have more of an idea on what to do for you.
